On August 28, 2017, the Town of Cobourg asked residents and local businesses to respond to a survey on the Town’s recently launched website.  Although the website clearly looks better and works better on phones, not everyone is happy with its functionality.  In particular, Ashley Purdy, Communications Officer for the Town of Cobourg asks: “What additional features and content would you like to see?"  The web site was built by eSolutionsGroup with modules that have been developed for other municipalities and formatted in response to input from Town staff.  It houses a lot of useful information and is fast becoming the prime communication portal for the Town.

cobourg logoAshley says that:

The Town of Cobourg will work continuously to improve usability, content and the overall design of the website. Residents and local businesses are encouraged to provide candid feedback when taking the online survey. The input provided will help the Town set priorities about web content and navigation moving forward.

Note that when the site was being developed, a list of features was given and most have been implemented with a couple of exceptions:

  • A Polls module – so citizens (and presumably others) can vote on current issues.  Not done.
  • E-commerce capability to allow payment for dog tags and more.  Payment for Parking Fines available online but not dog-tags

There are no questions specific to these but there is plenty of opportunity to give your opinion.
