The Town operates a Transit service with two ways of getting a ride:
- Limited Fixed Route service
- On-Demand service

This features 35 stops across town (see map) on a convenient hourly schedule and operates weekdays from 7 am to 7 pm. Bus schedule and signage indicate how many minutes past the hour the bus is scheduled to arrive, with no booking necessary.

- Saturday 8:15 am to 6:45 pm (last booking 6:30 pm)
- Sunday 8:45 am to 3:45 pm (last booking 3:30 pm)
On-Demand Transit Trips can be requested in advance (up to one week) or same day. The On-Demand system allows for easy booking with 184 stops throughout Town. Riders may book by either downloading the "Cobourg Transit" App on Google Play Store or Apple App Store, booking at https://book.cobourgtransit.rideco.com, or calling 905-373-0582. (Most people use the app or web site).
App upgrade
Effective June 15, 2026, the On-demand app will be upgraded to provide riders more flexibility and choice when planning their trips. With this update, users of the Cobourg Transit app will now see fixed route trip options alongside existing on-demand services. This enhancement is designed to improve accessibility and make it easier for riders to choose the service that best meets their needs.
Key features of the update include:
- Integrated trip planning that displays both on-demand and fixed route options.
- Fixed route trips clearly labeled as “Cobourg Transit Fixed Route.”
- Step-by-step walking directions to and from nearby bus stops for fixed route trips.
- Continued access to on-demand service for riders who prefer flexible, door-to-door transportation.
Passengers choosing to use fixed route services do not need to book a trip through the app. Riders can simply go to their desired bus stop and board the bus upon arrival.
